Will I become a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with this degree?

No, earning this project management degree does not result in a PMP certification. However, upon completion of the project-management-specific coursework, you'll have the 23 education hours required to sit for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential and the 35 hours of education required to sit for the PMP certification exam.

Additionally, with 36 months of practical experience hours logged in your applied project, you’ll be one step closer to meeting the requirements to sit for the PMP certification exam. Holding both a bachelor’s in project management and PMP certification is the gold standard for companies and organizations filling project-related positions.

Longer life spans, a higher standard of living and an awareness of the importance of proper oral hygiene have resulted in a high demand for dentists and dental-related services in the U.S. In addition to the care of natural teeth associated with traditional dentistry, dental-related services, such as cosmetic dentistry, oral pathology, endodontics, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry, continue to expand rapidly.

This pre-dental bachelor’s degree prepares you for a wide variety of careers in the field of dentistry with hands-on science experience and specialized dental knowledge.

Please note, this program is not ideal for someone looking to become a dental hygienist. Students interested in dental hygiene should consider dedicated programs instead.

Will a pre-dentistry major get me into dental school?

While this degree doesn’t automatically qualify you for dental school, the coursework and internship experience you’ll gain helps prepare you for the admission process. As every dental school has different admission requirements, such as shadowing experience, GPA and coursework, it’s important to research the specific requirements of the dental school you wish to apply for in advance.

With its emphasis on general biological sciences knowledge, this degree can also be beneficial for students planning to bypass dental school and begin their career.

This program provides context for understanding human behavior and achieving peak performance in domains, such as sport, exercise and competition. Can I become a sport psychologist with this degree?

No. This degree doesn’t lead directly to a career as a sport psychologist or any profession that requires graduate education and professional licensure to practice. However, as a graduate, you’ll be equipped for advanced studies in a variety of areas, such as sport psychology, kinesiology, athletics and physical therapy.

Social media managers operate in fast-paced environments where they balance strategy with real-time communication. They’re also responsible for ensuring messages reflect the cultural, social and economic values of the communities they serve.

Taught through a technical communication lens, this program trains you to create content about, for and through digital technology. You’ll focus on writing for specific audiences, managing design projects and supporting ethical, accessible communication across platforms.

This concentration takes an interdisciplinary approach. The curriculum integrates business skills, content production, organizational communication and crisis and reputation management — topics often spread across departments at other universities. At ASU, they’re combined in one program that prepares you for a professional career in social media.

This is not a journalism degree focused on news production. If you’re more interested in media theory and analysis, the Bachelor of Arts in mass communication and media studies may be a better fit.

The median annual salary in 2022 for data scientists was $103,500 and typically requires earning a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

This bachelor’s in technical communication with a concentration in data visualization provides foundational knowledge in technical writing with a focus on visual data. As part of the technical communication core curriculum, you’ll learn the fundamentals of technical communication and practice principles of technical editing. After completing your core curriculum, you’ll take data visualization concentration courses that help you advance your data visualization tools and techniques. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for a variety of careers in data or technical communication.

This concentration is an especially good fit if you have an associate degree in psychology and are looking to focus your upper-division studies on substance abuse and addiction counseling.

In this program, you’ll acquire skills in screening, assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for patients afflicted with substance abuse or related addictions. Upon graduation, you’ll be equipped with a range of skills that can apply to many career paths in behavioral health, including:

Does this lead to substance abuse counseling licensure?

Although earning a bachelor’s degree is the first step towards licensure, this degree won’t qualify you to become a licensed professional counselor. However, this program provides preparation for the master’s degree that leads to the licensed professional counselor credential.

Additionally, the coursework in this program meets the requirements for the Licensed Addiction Counselor Technician (LACT) credential in Arizona.
