This ACCE- and ABET-accredited program leverages technology, engineering and business to prepare you for a seamless transition into a professional construction career.
Courses combine theory and hands-on learning to explore every stage of the construction process, from planning to project delivery. - A minimum 1210 SAT combined evidence-based reading and writing plus math score, minimum 24 ACT combined score, 3.00 minimum ABOR GPA or class ranking in the top 25% of high school class.
- Admission may be granted with one deficiency in no more than two competency areas. Deficiencies in both math and laboratory science are not accepted.
Transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable college credit hours must have:
- A minimum transfer GPA of 3.00 for less than 24 transfer hours.
- No high school math or science competency deficiencies.
- Test scores or alternatives that meet requirements, including:
- A minimum 1210 SAT combined evidence-based reading and writing plus math score (or 1140 if taken before March 5, 2016).
- A minimum 24 ACT combined score.
- A minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.00 in ASU competency courses.
- Class ranking in the top 25% of the applicant’s high school class.
Transfer students with more than 24 transferable college credit hours must meet either the primary or the secondary criteria (not both).
Primary criteria
Applicants must have:
- A minimum transfer GPA of 3.00 for 24 or more transfer hours.
- No high school math or science competency deficiencies (if ASU Admission Services requires submission of a high school transcript).
Secondary criteria
Applicants must have:
- A minimum transfer GPA of 2.50 for 24 or more transfer hours.
- A minimum GPA of 2.75 in all critical courses (CON 100, CON 101, CON 244, CON 252, MAT 170).
The admission standards for majors in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering are higher than the minimum university standards. International students may have an additional English language proficiency criterion. Foreign nationals must meet the same admission requirements shown above, with the possible additional requirement of a minimum TOEFL score. If the university requires a TOEFL score from the applicant, then admission to engineering requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79 on iBT (internet-based) or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
