What will I learn in this graphic information technology program?
This visual design program harnesses the principles of graphic design to communicate information and ideas. It stands out from typical graphic design studies because it provides you with a foundation in the technical aspects of design, in addition to the creative areas. Your interdisciplinary courses provide you with technical areas to explore, including web design and development, UX, UI and digital media and advertising. As a design generalist, you’ll be competitive across a variety of industries that require both technical knowledge and creative experience.

Are you interested in the technical aspects of design? The Bachelor of Science in graphic information technology provides you with experience across multiple design and media disciplines. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for roles such as web designer and developer, user experience designer, digital media specialist and advertising executive.
All GIT web courses are project-based, allowing you to apply course concepts to practical examples. Through your courses, you’ll learn the basics of each GIT subject area, utilizing the latest design technologies.
You’ll also have the opportunity to choose courses in two focus areas to explore deeper. These include front-end web design and development, digital design, print and publishing and motion graphics.
