Applicants to the online food safety master’s degree must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 hours of their bachelor's program. Alternatively, applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in an applicable master's program.
The Edson College highly recommends but doesn’t require, Introductory Chemistry (three credits plus a one-credit lab) and Introductory Biology (three credits) prior to admission.

The program of study is tailored for students with undergraduate coursework in physical sciences related to food safety. It’s preferable if candidates have some background in chemistry and biology. Prior coursework in food science or food safety is desirable, but not required.
An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency.
