African and African American studies minor

The African and African American studies minor focuses on topics such as Black art, social movements and culture and political practices. Your courses will give you perspective into the history and lived experiences of African Americans, Africans and people from the African diaspora, including Central America, South America and the Caribbean. You’ll develop cultural competencies that complement a variety of professions in public service, health, technology and education.
